This information may not apply or could potentially be harmful to people in specific circumstances, so please seek medical advice before acting on this information to ensure your own safety, particularly if you have a medical condition or take any medications. There is no professional relationship formed unless you explicitly choose to work with us by purchasing our services or products.

Please contact us if you have any doubts or questions about the suitability of any general, nutritional, herbal or lifestyle advice provided on this website.
Our Responsibility
Melissa Cann is a fully-qualified naturopath holding a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Naturopathy). This allows her to provide naturopathic services and dispense practitioner-only products. Naturopaths provide consultations which include thorough case-taking, physical examinations and the dispensing of products. Treatment plans may include natural remedies such as liquid herbs, flower essences, herbal infusions/teas, herbal creams and supplements, as well as dietary advice and meal planning, and lifestyle recommendations.
Your responsibility
Your health & safety is our priority & therefore we ask that you fill out a Client Intake Form prior to treatment. All information you provide will be confidential. Failure to complete this form will result in our inability to treat you in the interest of your health & safety. The information gathered during a medical history will assist in establishing this and developing the best treatment plan for you.
During a consult, we will discuss your presenting complaint and health history in order to make the safest and most effective treatment plan for you. To get a thorough picture, we require lots of information regarding symptoms, illnesses, body systems and processes, mental health, current living situation and family history. Current medications and supplements must be disclosed so as to ensure no interactions will occur between what we prescribe and what you are currently taking.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes in your health status throughout your future treatments with us.
Please notify us immediately if you experience any worsening of symptoms or any unpleasant or unwanted side effects or reactions after commencing each new or recurring herbal medicine liquid, supplement or other treatment. Reactions may indicate a sensitivity or allergy to a herb so it is your responsibility to notify us immediately so we can rectify the issue. If a severe reaction occurs, please cease taking the prescribed remedy and seek medical advice immediately.
If you feel you have not provided accurate information during the consult, please contact us directly to rectify. Incorrect personal/health information provided may impact your treatment success and/or personal safety.
It is important you do not take any other supplements during the course of our treatment without first disclosing to us; this is to ensure no interactions will occur.

Payment for online consults is required at the time of booking through online payment system Stripe. Payments are taken via Stripe or Paypal. Please view their websites directly for their respective privacy policies.

Order fulfilment through vital.ly
Often, products will be out of stock through the online dispensary service that we use. If this occurs, please contact us and we will endeavour to find a suitable replacement product.
Online Consultations
Online consults will be conducted securely via Cliniko Telehealth – please read through this info BEFORE your scheduled appointment time to ensure our consult runs smoothly. You will receive an appointment link shortly after booking. You will also receive a Client Intake form that will need to be completed at least 48hrs before the appointment.
On the day of the appointment, click the Telehealth link 10-15 minutes before the start time to make sure your computer can access the link correctly and your microphone and video are in good working order.
For privacy reasons, the consult will not be recorded, and we ask that you not record it either. Please ensure you are in a quiet place with minimal interruptions to allow the consult to flow freely. If internet issues causes the consult to cut out, we will continue our consultation via phone call. Any time delay between contact will be added on to the total consult time so there is no loss of time.
Change of mind
We do not offer a refund for change of mind for any services so please choose carefully. Please note that in order to provide safe and effective remedy prescriptions, we do not accept any product returns for refund as we cannot ascertain how the product was stored.
Cancellations and Reschedules
Please respect our time and other clients who may wish to book your time slot by cancelling or rescheduling your appointment 24 hours or more in advance where possible. You will be sent a reminder text or email the day before your appointment to assist in the smooth running of the practice schedule.
Clients are able to cancel or reschedule an appointment at anytime, without incurring a fee, provided 24 hours notice is given where practicable. This allows the opportunity to offer the session to another client. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you may be charged a Late Cancellation Fee equal to 50% of the full session fee. It is important to note that third parties, (ie Worksafe) will not pay for missed appointments, so you will be responsible for the entire Late Cancellation Fee.
Extenuating circumstances may be considered and it is at the sole discretion of Verde Naturopathy whether or not to waive part or all of your booking fee as stated above.
No-shows
No-shows incur a 100% cost of your appointment fee. In fairness to other clients, we deem it unreasonable to continue offering sessions to those who regularly miss or cancel their appointments at late notice and as such, after 2 unattended appointments you will be required to pay the full session fee at the time of booking to secure a new appointment.
Your understanding of this policy is appreciated.
